I have always been an active holiday supporter, however this time I’ve decided to stop, relax, admire the view and enjoy the moment. The choice of location was Palma de Mallorca, as not being too far, not too busy due to low-season and perhaps one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean Sea.

Palma

When you come for a visit from London and exploring some stores you may find that quite many products are with more attractive prices than back in the UK. That suggests that flying to Palma may be worth considering some shopping. I usually don’t do that unless I have a plan and I’m certain about what I need (or really want). For those who periodically do that or just love window shopping (especially ladies) – keep that in mind.

Just relax

This time we’ve been completely passive and did not even go to Cathedral or the palace next to it. A quick walk around the downtown and we settled down in one of the lounge restaurants next to the port with beautiful and expensive yachts in the view. Food brilliant, drinks were fantastic too, I haven’t had a proper Mojito since my first ever trip to Zurich many years ago, thanks to “Mar de Nudos Mediterranean & Japanese cuisine”.

The Port views

We were massively lucky with the views of Port of Palma with those nice yachts and cruise ships coming and leaving. A nicely designed hotel interior with lounge access made our stay even more pleasant. Which left me thinking for the first time in my life, that you may have to pay a little extra to get those perks and nice meals, however, in the end, it will be cheaper than getting a standard room and paying for all things separately.
