It was rainy and cold when first time I’ve been to Porthmadog. Town was empty and there did not seem a lot you could do out there apart from riding a Steam train. This time when I was passing by it was completely different – full of people, small coffee shops were open, town was alive! There is a huge difference in how this town feels in Winter and in Summer. I was lucky to come to the steam train station just moments before the train was coming back. Landscape in the background with a steam train approaching – creates such a good feeling and satisfactory photographic moment. These authentic steam trains are something that I cannot pass by without taking a picture.
Knowing I had to cover hundreds of miles to get back home – I unfortunately did not get onto that train this time either. But there is nothing to be sad about, North Wales is a place I hope to come back more than once again!
This time the sunny Porthmadog town in my gallery below.
