One of my favorite regions in Europe is where the Alps is and being in Switzerland just adds even more positive emotions in general. Combinations of mountains and serpentine roads – is something that keeps bringing me back with a passion to drive there again and to admire and capture those landscapes every time I’m there.

The road trip

This time my journey to Switzerland started from Germany’s Bavarian side where I’ve left the Mercedes Benz museum and Lichtenstein castle behind. A quick stop in Bregenz (Austria), then spending a night in Liechtenstein. A little hike in this little country before stopping by in Bad Ragaz, treating myself with thermal baths. Then, sitting down in this small town’s center having a delicious lunch. Driving over another mountain pass or two with some extra thrill, driving down to St. Moritz while continuously stopping to admire the views. The next morning waking up with a view to crystal clear lake, continuing the day with a lunch at 3300m mountain station and hiking down from Corwatsch with mountain creeks, rocks, fresh air, and breathtaking views. Then again, driving over one other mountain pass, some highways and ending up in Luzern – another picturesque Swiss city with a lot to offer. Next: stopping by in Zurich for a couple of productive days to attend a conference. After all, finishing a week with a swim in Zurich See – so refreshing. But this is not the end – German highways still awaiting for me on a way back.
